Portrait Poem

I am intelligent and witty,

I wonder if humankind will bring extinction upon themselves,

I hear water gushing and rushing down the river,

I see waterfalls surrounding me, enveloping me,

I want more jobs, decreasing poverty,

I am intelligent and witty.

I pretend to be a Jaguar finding and stalking my prey,

I feel the water trickling down my arms,

I touch the thorn drawing blood like a syringe from a patient,

I worry for the animals that live in forests,

I cry for my late great grandma,

I am Intelligent and witty.

I understand food as a need for life on this green and blue planet,

I say that we are and were made equal,

I dream about my future, where I will go and where I will stay,

I try and will be the best person I can be,

I hope for my future as an adult to go up, not down,

I am intelligent and witty
